Rita Idehai built a business out of what her community throws away. Plastic waste. Fabric scraps. Discarded materials that most people walk past without a second look. Rita collects them, processes them, and weaves them into finished products — bags and goods that are sold and used every day. But she didn't stop there.

Rita took what she had figured out and brought other women into it. Using locally made weaving machines, she trains women in her community to do exactly what she does — take materials that have been thrown away and turn them into products that generate real income. What Rita has built is not just a recycling company. It is an economic entry point for women who needed one.

Eco Barter documents Rita's journey — how she started, how the business works, and what it looks like when a woman in Nigeria decides to solve two problems at once. An environmental problem and an economic one. With the same material. The same machine. The same hands. This film is Belle Visuals' documentation of innovation that does not wait for permission or funding to begin. The kind that starts with whatever is available and builds from there.

Rita started with trash. She built a livelihood. Then she made sure other women could too.
